Stone Island Denim Grey Neoprene Cuff Knitted Hoody

I’m a big fan of the way that Stone Island are transforming the hoody from something that has essentially been seen as a more casual piece of clothing, into something a whole lot more stylished, and their Grey Neoprene Cuff Knit Zip Hoody, is another great piece that really showcases this.

Designed out of a 80% Wool and 20% Nylon, this is a hoody that differs from the majority, that tends to be made out of cotton, immediately, and the differences just keep on coming. The first is seen in the styling. Having been knitted, as opposed to be being cut from a roll of cotton fabric, this is a hoody that has allowed Stone Island a lot more control over it’s shaping.

And it shows.

Styled to offer a close fit, that is still relaxed enough that you won’t feel uncomfortable, this hoody has the look of a well styled v neck jumper when unzipped, but is still able to, via the hood,  give off an aura that is a perfect blend of stylish gentleman and laidback soul.

Then there’s the design details that Stone Island have used to take this hoody up to the next level.

Featuring black neoprene trim, that you’d more normally find in surfers wetsuits, to the shoulders, down the centre of the hood, side seams, cuffs and hem is a great touch, and one that draws the eye in from afar, and impresses from up close when they realise that it isn’t just another colour of wool.

Great for wearing with jeans and a t-shirt, or even some smart trousers and a shirt, this is hoody is a great all rounder, but is likely to be out of the reach of most of us, as it retails for £225.00 at My Wardrobe.
